Remarks:
The little auk (Alle alle) is the smallest seabird in Greenland and weights only about 160 g. It breeds in enormous colonies where the number of birds often exceed 100.000 birds gathered in one place.

The king eider (Somateria spectabilis) is a scarce breeder in North- and East Greenland but several thousand birds from the Canadian breeding grounds congregate in the West Greenland area during Winter.
